Presents scientific and archaeological evidence proposing that comet collisions wiped out an ancient civilization, a people whose survivors settled around the world to keep humanity alive.

McMillan Palgrave

Graham Hancock's multi-million bestseller Fingerprints of the Gods remains an astonishing, deeply controversial, wide-ranging investigation of the mysteries of our past and the evidence for Earth's lost civilization. Twenty years on, Hancock returns with the sequel to his seminal work filled with completely new, scientific and archaeological evidence, which has only recently come to light...

Near the end of the last Ice Age 12,800 years ago, a giant comet that had entered the solar system from deep space thousands of years earlier, broke into multiple fragments. Some of these struck the Earth causing a global cataclysm on a scale unseen since the extinction of the dinosaurs. At least eight of the fragments hit the North American ice cap, while further fragments hit the northern European ice cap. The impacts, from comet fragments a mile wide approaching at more than 60,000 miles an hour, generated huge amounts of heat which instantly liquidized millions of square kilometers of ice, destabilizing the Earth's crust and causing the global Deluge that is remembered in myths all around the world. A second series of impacts, equally devastating, causing further cataclysmic flooding, occurred 11,600 years ago, the exact date that Plato gives for the destruction and submergence of Atlantis.

The evidence revealed in this book shows beyond reasonable doubt that an advanced civilization that flourished during the Ice Age was destroyed in the global cataclysms between 12,800 and 11,600 years ago. But there were survivors - known to later cultures by names such as 'the Sages', 'the Magicians', 'the Shining Ones', and 'the Mystery Teachers of Heaven'. They travelled the world in their great ships doing all in their power to keep the spark of civilization burning. They settled at key locations - Gobekli Tepe in Turkey, Baalbek in the Lebanon, Giza in Egypt, ancient Sumer, Mexico, Peru and across the Pacific where a huge pyramid has recently been discovered in Indonesia. Everywhere they went these 'Magicians of the Gods' brought with them the memory of a time when mankind had fallen out of harmony with the universe and paid a heavy price. A memory and a warning to the future...

For the comet that wrought such destruction between 12,800 and 11,600 years may not be done with us yet. Astronomers believe that a 20-mile wide 'dark' fragment of the original giant comet remains hidden within its debris stream and threatens the Earth. An astronomical message encoded at Gobekli Tepe, and in the Sphinx and the pyramids of Egypt, warns that the 'Great Return' will occur in our time...

With more than 5 million copies sold worldwide of Fingerprints of the Gods, its sequel brings new evidence supporting the author's thesis that a global cataclysm wiped out a great global civilization.

Those that are wise, intelligent, and open minded will appreciate the wisdom & truth that is contained in this book, revealing that ancient civilizations were infinitely more advanced than humans today, due to cataclysms and climate change. Graham is correct about current mainstream archaeologists, they are so close minded and think they are wise & intelligent, but the opposite is true. Which is the case with all mainstream scientists globally, they are funded with govt research grants that lock them into narrow minded thinking, which does NOT benefit humanity at all, they are truly a disgrace to the ancient knowledge that can free humanity now.

It's funny that most humans today think that future cataclysms will never take place in their lifetime, as they don't have eyes to see, nor ears to hear, the ancient wisdom and warnings of the past. Nor do few understand that Mini Ice Ages and Major Ice Ages represent 90% of the earths climate, based upon the Arctic and Antarctic Ice Core Drilling Data. Humans are the at the end of the (temporary) Inter-Glacial warm period that only lasts for 10k to 12k years or 10% of each 100k year cycle, before the climate plunges back into extreme cooling & freezing outside the equator zones. The establishment and governments are to blame for this, for they know dang well, that the major ice age is returning this century, and they are hiding it from citizens, while they build their underground bunkers to ride out the mass extinction above ground. If you distrust your govt, you are wise, for they are not your friend.

If you want to know what the future holds for mankind, it's crucial that you follow these YouTube channels and websites, in order to mentally, physically, and spiritually prepare for the COLD DARK TIMES AHEAD, as we are entering into the 6th mass extinction on earth, that occurs every 100k years, when the climate flips from warming to freezing, and freezing to warming.

A lot of ancient history to be learned here. It really got me to thinking.

An interesting and enjoyable read, Hancock provides detailed evidence for the existence of a cataclysm that took place some 13,000 years ago, as well as an apparently technologically advanced civilization that preceded it. The evidence presented is as compelling as it is worthy of further scrutiny. Hancock engages the conventional historical narrative in a way that left me with no doubt that there is more to our global history that has yet to be properly investigated and communicated.
