In this book (previously published as Crippled America), we’re going to look at the state of the world right now. It’s a terrible mess, and that’s putting it mildly. There has never been a more dangerous time. The politicians and special interests in Washington, DC are directly responsible for the mess we are in. So why should we continue listening to them?

It’s time to bring America back to its rightful owners—the American people.

I’m not going to play the same game politicians have been playing for decades—all talk, no action, while special interests and lobbyists dictate our laws. I am shaking up the establishment on both sides of the political aisle because I can’t be bought. I want to bring America back, to make it great and prosperous again, and to be sure we are respected by our allies and feared by our adversaries.

It’s time for action. Americans are fed up with politics as usual. And they should be! In this book, I outline my vision to make America great again, including: how to fix our failing economy; how to reform health care so it is more efficient, cost-effective, and doesn’t alienate both doctors and patients; how to rebuild our military and start winning wars—instead of watching our enemies take over—while keeping our promises to our great veterans; how to ensure that our education system offers the resources that allow our students to compete internationally, so tomorrow’s jobseekers have the tools they need to succeed; and how to immediately bring jobs back to America by closing our doors to illegal immigrants, and pressuring businesses to produce their goods at home.

This book is my blueprint for how to Make America Great Again. It’s not hard. We just need someone with the courage to say what needs to be said.

I am someone who voted for Donald Trump and I can say this is a very basic book with not much going on in it. My biggest takeaways were 1) Donald Trump is a master manipulator of the media. He genuinely knows he can troll and beat them at their own game and use it to his advantage. and 2) He understands China is our biggest competitor on the global stage and will attempt to undermine us at every level, besides militarily, to become the #1 world superpower. These takeaways come from two chapters; the media and foreign policy (the only ones genuinely worth reading at imo).

The man makes a lot of great, common-sense points that other politicians are too afraid to admit or say, but this is also clearly a book trying to help get him elected and/or sell copies on the side. Meaning he talks a lot about how bad things are and how only he can make it great again i.e. your typical politician trying to get elected spiel.

There's not much policy here, but he admits as much and the most important idea he gets across is America is still the greatest country on Earth and we should not be selling ourself short with other nations. He wants America to get the best side of a deal, while being aware if we walked away from the negotiating table it would hurt us to some extent. His rationalization though, which I think is a legit one, is that America can survive and the other countries have far more to lose than we do.

The man does love himself and loves to talk about how great his accomplishments are. He writes the same way he speaks, which is to say comical and ostentatious. Still, you can learn a bit about the man from this short book and at the very least better understand what a natural, and incredibly talented politician he is. Whether that is good or bad for the country remains to be seen.

I doubt Trump has the vocabulary, let alone the focus, to write any kind of book above a grade four reading level. It is quite certain he had little if anything to do with the actual writing of this book. What I do find astonishing are the positive reviews I have read here. Surely these knaves are repubican trolls and not citizens of our much brighter than that city. I can only hope.

This is a great source of reading for anyone who is interested on how Donald Trump presents his vision on completing tasks and getting projects done. It also offers insight on how he made himself in the world of business and enterprise and the values and principles that his father taught him and of the values that he taught his children along with what he learned growing up. Each time he took on a building project, he achieved success. Many people have said that he would not get it done and yet he would get it done. With reading this book, Donald Trump presents insight on how to deal with the media and the public eye.

Title is spelled "How to make American Great again" on the library website instead of "How to make America Great again". Can you spot the mistake?

We don't have to like him but we must admit that whatever he stated in this book is truth, nothing but the truth so help us, dear God!

check out the Donald Trump collection of titles by author:
“Vietnam veteran Hugh E. Scott, a political cartoonist, freelance investigative journalist and ardent Reagan Republican, wrote this book to expose Terrible Donald Trump as a cowardly Vietnam War draft dodger who has falsely claimed the support of “hundreds of thousands of veterans.” More telling is the lack of endorsements by military generals and admirals. A google search by Scott on 02/10/16 revealed that just one officer—retired Air Force General Chuck Yeager, the famous “Right Stuff” test pilot—supposedly supports Trump. However, this claim is also FALSE, a case of mistaken identity. Scott details a number of reasons why The Donald should not serve as our armed forces commander-in-chief. The most disqualifying reason concerns the treatment of captured terrorists. Trump not only believes the illegal waterboarding of suspected combatants should be allowed, he thinks more sadistic methods of torture should be used, such as flogging. “When I become president,” he boasted on CNN in Feb 2016, “I will change federal law so that waterboarding is no longer classified as a war crime and harsher methods as well.” If he succeeds, the Geneva Convention will no long apply to our troops overseas and they would be tortured routinely while in enemy hands. So much for Trump caring about the American military and its veterans.” at Amazon

Trump states his mind, while providing a refreshing view on politics. He talks about his personal life, business, and how he hopes to better America for everyone.

I have a REAL problem with politicking here on the library's web site, and the previous comment is WAY over the line when it comes to delivering an opinion that has NOTHING to do with the book being reviewed. I hope the library will remove this comment speedily.
