This book was a waste of time and not worth the wait. I read half of it and quit. Lots of common knowledge, however nothing in depth or useful. Seems to be more of a sales pitch type book for testing your EI rather than an in depth discussion on the subject.

This book comes with a code to help you find your Emotional Intelligence. It can only be used one time so as a library book it is useless. Not recommended.

Interesting book. It has documented a lot of common knowledge in one place. However, the information it offers for each piece of advice is minimal; really this is a book to promote all the "certification" classes, and additional materials they advertise at the back of the book.

This book struck me as a sales pitch more than anything. First, they want you to take their online testing (one use per book - no good if you borrowed from the library), then they talked about their training a lot, presumably to convince you that would be more worthwhile than the book.

The actual contents of the book were rather simple. Read it in an evening. Some basic exercises to do, but 70% of the book is fluff.

If you really think you need more EI, I'd recommend reading (or better, taking) a supervision course, of the kind you get at local college. They usually include lots of roleplaying and information on how to manage people, with less fluff. And there is an exam to make sure you don't just waste your time.
