One of my all time favourite movies and the sequels as well. In my honest opinion it was well written, the action scenes excellent including the chorography(action sequences) the vehicle chases including the motorcycle scenes and the state-of-the-art- graphics used at that time amazingly well done! The fight scenes(similar to those in Hidden Dragon-Crouching Tiger) are W-O-W- and very very very cool neat wonderful to watch! Especially love the martial arts moves and the actors and actresses dialogue-Book-Script-Movie must have been difficult! Many many thanks!

The Matrix is a very well-known movie directed by the Wachowskis in 1999. Featuring Keanu Reeves in the lead role, the film is about a man named Neo who discovers that the Matrix is a simulated world created by artificial intelligence, where human minds are trapped under an illusion. Neo joins Morpheus, Trinity, and other characters who are some of the humans battling the AI machines in the simulated world in order to fight for humanity. The film is slow at first, but this is because of the various philosophical ideas discussed. As the story progresses, the film manages to retain these ideas while also showing breathtaking action scenes that have now become iconic. At the very core of the film is an idea that is very intriguing and unique. Thus, the film is different, yet engaging. I would give it 4 stars.

This movie follows the mystery of the “matrix”, a mysterious phenomenon that could reveal the true meaning of life and the world. Neo believes that a very dangerous man by the name of Morpheus could tell him the meaning behind the matrix, however, they must fight a very intense battle in order to uncover the truth in the underworld. This movie showcases the wonders of science fiction and what it is like to have many brilliant and intelligent characters in one film. I would rate this well known movie 4/5 stars and recommend it to anyone who has an interest in science and uncovering the truth.

Really, really stupid. It contradicts itself constantly, while holding off the incredibly obvious (re: the characters own stated knowledge) until the end. Duh. Also, everything (at least to me) seemed absurdly predictable. (e.g. knowing the "Oracle" lied -about 2 things-, where the "Agents" would pop up during chases, etc., etc.) The more things change, the more they stay the same: the format for the fight scenes, the gun battles, the old style western quick draw (LOL!), etc. Maybe in 1999 some people were wowed by certain effects, but I don't rate that carrying an entire movie. However, the real disturbing thing is the level of insidious social engineering Follywood was doing, 20 years ago. It's very blatant now, and yes, they've been at it a long time, but I'm thinking of an entire generation that's now grown up with an overwhelming amount of certain social constructs as norms. There are many of them in this film, that support the problems we have in the world now, in 2018.

Released in 1999, but this incredibly stylish film doesn't look or feel dated, so that's a real testimony to the craftsmanship and eye for detail of the artistic decision-makers on the crew. The performances are almost uniformly excellent, with the sole exception being Lawrence Fishburne's annoying decision move and speak in a strangely slow, overly deliberate manner. (Dial it down, Larry.) Clever premise, great execution, It's absolutely superb sci-fi.

One of the best science fiction movies ever, and a must watch for any fan of the genre.

Morpheus: This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.
