Delicious recipes - so good I had to buy the book to keep!

The book truly is a work of great collaboration by America's Test Kitchen staff. The book really does fulfill the Test Kitchen mission " develop the absolute best recipes for all of your favorite foods...". The book is so full of marvelous and delicious recipes. It is useful to both the novice cook and baker as well as the experienced chef. Each recipe is displayed in an easy-to-follow manner and is accompanied by a brief "Why this recipe works" narrative. Most recipes are accompanied with color photos and some recipes include a "Notes from the Test Kitchen" section, which offer detailed specifics and additional photos for preparation. I was able to make several recipes including the slow-cooker beef burgundy and three varieties of scones. All were mouthwatering and had my family asking for more. I know using the book is bringing me closer to my true inner chef.
