Fun movie! I actually like Jackie Chan as a more serious actor than the earlier stuff with him mixing it with comedy. I just love a good vigilante movie!

One of Chins better movies, most are a bit silly for me. He is not much of an actor, but he did a lot better this time. In this movie he did not run around like a chicken with his head cut off.

I love Jackie Chen in this movie. Great movie to watch but not so much when you think of the revenge aspect of it.

Great movie

Jackie Chan plays a one-man wrecking crew. He wages a guerrilla war on Pierce Brosnan to find out who killed his daughter. Gritty action, with him outnumbered and outgunned.

The man was portrayed as a naturalized citizen and therefore not an alien or a foreigner, different in U.K? While the story is entertaining, it was ludicrous that a typical Asian man with a beat up face could hide among the Irish in Belfast, let alone able to walk past heavy securities surrounding his targets. Also, strange that the film chose to dig up the old IRA-UK wounds instead of current terrorist/nihilist/anarchist groups. Those aside, good to watch a tough old boy beating up on tough young men.

Jackie Chan vs IRA, looking for justice. Solid action movie and plot line as well.

I liked it.
Not quite, what I was expecting.
Jackie Chan is very good.
Not playing his usual, "Martial Arts" role.

Love the movie. Mr. Cheng and Mr. Brosnan in the same movie? I just gota see it. This is not the usual two dimensional character that Jackie Chan is well known for, the story line is complex and the characters are complicated. Not a B-movie.

Faces get punched and things blow up but in between action scenes the politics and backstabbing grind this movie to a halt. I was never interested in any of the characters and, of course, we know who the bad guy is all along even though we don't want to admit it. SPOILER - it's Pierce Brosnan

IRA politics and terrorism are different ends of the same snake. Whichever end you grab, you still grab a snake.
-It makes a great deal of difference which end you grab, because one end will bite.
How long have you been in this country, Mr. Quan?
-Since 1984. I'm a British citizen.
You were born in Guangxi, China.
-Yes. I'm Chinese Nung. I work in Saigon after the war. We escaped to Singapore. Then we immigrate here.

There's a lot of support for their actions amongst the younger ranks.
-Hotheads. Hotheads who don't remember, or know any better.
You were once one of those hotheads, Liam.
-Aye. Long ago, when it was the only way. And what did it give us? More graves than I care to remember.

She said he was a Chinaman?
-Affirmative. About 60 years old.
One ol' man running circles around the lot of us. Why is it so hard?
I remember a time when you would've dealt with this, properly, and other things, too. But those days are gone.
I've half the city looking for him. When he surfaces in Belfast, we'll find him.
Christ Almighty, are you dumb and blind? An old man making fools out of the lot of you, and he's still running around out there, for God's sake. You are four men. Four.
