This movie is as good as the cast would imply. This is not said lightly.

Drama on one possible event post-service retired marines may encounter. Do not expect fun entertainment.

As a Mother of a solider this really hits home. There is ALOT of military show cards here. LOTS of stuff the average person isn't aware of that goes down. There were a few implosable parts, but hey that's Hollywood. I know a family who traveled with their soilder in the back of a truck across several states, really happened.

Three Vietnam vets pondering the possibility of all three to go to the funeral of one of their sons. This films is a chance to see Bruce Cranston's film acting abilities after his nearly decade long role in "Breaking Bad" in which he was nominated for best actor in a TV series nearly every year of the show's existence.

The most truthful movie about war that I have seen in a long time. Three great actors playing off each other. The timing in each scene is amazing so well done and the truth in the script hits home with each line. The bonus is seeing Cicely Tyson on screen again!

One-hundred-twenty-five minutes of old men talking.

An exhausted buddy movie about three Vietnam vets reunited to bury a son killed in Iraq in 2003. Middle-brow entertainment a notch below Linklater's usual product. It'll probably work for you if you're a Bryan Cranston fan, but not if you come to the movie looking for some heavy bass from Larry Fishburne or some Steve Carrell tomfoolery. It's a big disappointment to think that this is the sequel to THE LAST DETAIL. The illumination of the ambiguous American attitude toward the military -- hate it for what it does but proud to belong to it -- has merit but somehow the film fails to find this focus.
