Cohen raises the bar on his consciousness raising "Candid Camera" style humor. I'd say 10% of the people (Bill Jilla) interviewed are in on the schtick but he really shows the ignorance of not only people, but maybe the ignorance of a culture overall. Scenes like Kingman Arizona, Dick Cheney, the classic Floppy finds a funny picture and anally aged beef (does Jilla still have a job) easily "out-Chappelle" Dave Chappelle himself. Hint: get people to sign the release consent form before filming - then let the mayhem begin. This ranks right up there with "season one" for Sarah Silverman/Amy Schumer/Dave Chappelle/It' always funny in/and any episode of Shameless - god bless America - when will we see Sacha do the Cdn version of this?

I watched the first disc and did some fast forwards. Raunchy. Did not watch the second disc Surprised notable people allowed to be interviewed. Cohen's earlier work was much better.

I have to agree with the other commentaries on this title. It is uneven and at times hilarious, while others are rather scary. Dick Cheney stating that it was great to be Secretary of Defense especially during Desert Storm was downright evil.

A big SBC fan, this is an enjoyable but uneven series. Some segments very funny and shake-your-head revealing/outrageous, others fall a bit flat.

This is typical for Cohen: about half is funnier than hell, the other half is cringe inducing. I had enough and returned it a couple of episodes short of watching the whole thing. However, I'd still recommend it in large part due to the episode in which Cohen's ultra-PC character holds a public meeting in Kingman to announce the construction of a giant mosque.

I couldn't get past the first 2 interviews. I love comedy and this isn't it.
