Bell Hooks never seems to disappoint with her ability to capture tough concepts for her target audience. One less star only because I believe, without additional conversation, this book may mistakenly promote the idea of being “color blind” rather than valuing black skin, black heritage, black lives. Please be sure you are having age appropriate conversations about the difference between color blind and actually honoring culture and race.
