Peter Walsh came to prominence as one of the resident organizers on the TV show "Clean Sweep". What made him stand out is that he, more than the other organizers the show hired, seemed to understand the emotional attachment that people have to their stuff. This attitude carries over to his book where he first advocates a quick purge where you go through a room and get rid of anything you can right away. This includes the garbage. Anything that has an emotional attachment, you leave until later. Easy to read, Walsh, like other authors in the genre, break down the house into zones to help you with the purge.
