The computer animation definitely took some getting used to, but I adjusted, eventually. It had a really long 'video game' feel to it, less the controllers, naturally. That's not to say it wasn't impressive -- it was. It just gave me as a viewer a discomfort that's difficult to explain. Loved the cast (two specifically reliving similarly styled roles). Robin Wright resurrecting "The Princes Bride", per se, and the same for Brendan Gleeson with a battling 'Hamish' from "Braveheart" type character. Creepy Crispin Glover as Grendel; Sir Anthony Hopkins as the king; and Botox lipped Jolie as the evil succubus (fitting). Malkovich was perfect as the weaselly character, too. The only one whose likeness was inaccurate was Beowulf himself. Enjoyed him intensely in "The Proposition", but have you seen Ray Winstone lately? (lol) Check out the special features, if not.
