Based on the true story of Jean-Dominique Bauby, editor of the French version of “Elle” magazine who suffered a terrible stroke at the age of forty-two. The stroke left him with “Locked-In Syndrome” in which he lost the ability to speak or move any part of his body except for his right eyelid. Despite this incredible handicap he was able to dictate his memoirs.....one letter at a time.....using a system devised by his physiotherapist. Based on those memoirs this story is told from a first person perspective.....often-using point-of-view camera angles. Funny at times, thoughtful at others yet never wallowing too long in self-pity or anger. Well done.
