I'm not sure I'm going to rush out & buy the rest of Child's books, but it was a good read in the midst of a period I've hit where I seem to have already read most of the good books out there, It delivers excitement, historical interest, intrigue, a mummy's curse (besides King Tut), and even it a bit of the supernatural. My big complaint is that the main character, the "enigmatologist", mainly seems to tag along to important meetings and go "well, hmm" when asked his opinion until the end, when it's too late. I wouldn't have paid his "exorbitantly" high fee, even if I was Paul Allen--excuse me, I mean Porter Stone.
