The beginning chapter hooked me. One deed leads to another which leads to another so the plot keeps moving until it comes full circle - for me later than sooner. The author could have ended this story several times before he actually did, but some might like this drawn out wait for the end due to the action that ensues. The author makes the most of his main character on the run and then when the time is right after many false starts, the violence starts. Motives of characters are carefully worked out. Teenage characters are cardboard cut outs. Their teenage chit chat got annoying and too many mentions of "dudes" for my liking. Skipped the pages where the characters get affectionate and where ordinary family life is assumed around the dinner table with the family dog in the background. In a way the reader knows the final outcome.
