Are you tired of books where the heroine is captured by a dragon/giant/psycho killer, and has nothing to do except wait endlessly for the prince/hero/boyfriend to rescue her? Then “Ruthless” is the book for you. Ruth, a horse riding champion whose nickname is “Ruthless” (because of her attitude) is indeed kidnapped by a psycho killer who thinks it is his duty to “punish” her. When she sees a heap of girls’ underwear from victims who he has previously “punished”, Riuth knows she has to escape—and fast. She is alone and naked in the middle of the wilderness, with only her wits, stubbornness, and attitude to survive. Adams' writing style echos Stephen King’s early books (though I’m sure King would have had a dream sequence showing all the previous victims). This is one thriller will grab you and won’t let you go.
