I agree somewhat that this story is of appeal to the younger generation, but easily applies to young adults who are learning to fly with their new wings. I can remember losing a few of my hang-ups along the way to become a more independent adult, and that is what Grace does in this story. As a parent now to young adults, I appreciate seeing how point of view and correcting facts concerning a piece of family history can allow for deeper appreciation and better relationships between family members. The whole point of the book is to show how Grace's incomplete interpretation of her relationship with her sister and parents changes for the better and helps her to fly independently as an adult.
