This is the tenth installment in the Royal Spyness mystery series, but apparently I'm not sick of these books yet, because this was one of my favorites of the lot. The whodunnit was satisfying (I also totally thought I had it figured out, and was completely wrong, so points to Bowen for that -- I'm not A+ at guessing culprits, though, so make of that what you will) and there were, as usual, lots of colorful minor characters who made this a thoroughly entertaining read. Most satisfying to me as a reader were continuing developments in Georgie's and Darcy's relationship -- slowly but surely, it feels like Bowen is moving towards something, rather than merely treading water, and I'll be eagerly awaiting the next book to see what happens to Georgie next.
