The third and weakest of the "Mad Max" trilogy, which isn't to say it's not enjoyable. Part of the problem is that it really feels like two distinct movies. There's the Thunderdome segment and then there's the stuff with the kids, who are a mix of "Lord of the Flies" and the Lost Boys. This middle part drags, but it picks up in the final act when there's a kick-ass car chase. Tina Turner is good in one of her few movie roles and contributes a song to the soundtrack. Gibson was never better as the title character.
