No stars at all for this one. I wanted to write my comments about this book to the author but there is no way to contact her by email, so I will write here.
This book takes place during the Christmas Season, a time of love and inclusiveness. Instead the author has chosen to cast one of her characters, A rich Jewish male with a non-Jewish wife with all the anti-Semitic stereotypes she could find about Jews- rich, loud, aggressive, pushy, and ill mannered. The author has obviously never met many Jewish people. I, personally, don't know any of the type she so hatefully characterizes. I did not finish the book, and this is the last one of hers that I shall be reading.
And a Merry Christmas to you, Ms. Colgan.
Thank you. Kathryn Stern Braunstein
