read, I was really looking forward to this new book by Emma Healey. The plot is compelling on the surface: a teenage girl (Lana) disappears for days and then reappears seeming to have no memory of where she was or how she got the cut on her head and other injuries. The story is told from the POV of the mother (Jen) and seems to go round and round in circles until the last 25% of the book. Included are some "out there" theories on hell and other religious ideas. The end was gratifying, but the middle not so much.
