The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise by Dan Gemeinhart (2019) is delightful. Coyote (not her real name) is the name her father calls her by. She is almost thirteen. And, as the title proclaims, she is on a journey. She is on a journey to know more about herself, herself with others and herself trying to achieve a goal. And she is on a journey in an old school bus. This is a captivating and engrossing tale. Gemeinhart is a gifted writer. He knows how to create characters and twists and turns overflowing with intrigue. This is an excellent book for 9 years olds on up. Enjoy!
