My first audio book in many years and Migrations by Charlotte McConaghy (2021) was excellent. I story set in the relatively near future that deals with the effects of climate change. Yet, it is mostly a captivating novel about Franny Stone’s life journey. The fact the it is set in a dystopian time seems most appropriate, not a distraction from the story of Franny - more of a way to understand her many dilemmas. The writing is clear and mesmerizing - leading to page turning when the book is hand and wondering what the next development of the story could be when not reading. I recommend it.
