Thoroughly enjoyed this debut book from Marks! Zoe is a thoughtful well-rounded character and her love of baking is infectious. This story does not shy away from complicated topics like incarceration and how these topics are handled strengthens the story. I need to try cupcakes like she describes someday! I also highly recommend the audiobook, read by Bahni Turpin.
