This was a good volume. The fight with the villains was fun to read and we continue to go more in-depth with the character's quirks and get to see other students shine. I'm having a lot of fun reading this series.

The series is already starting to take shape and pick up steam with volume 2. We are introduced to more characters and their quirks and are really starting to see the class' training and teamwork. Solid first volume in a new manga series. I'm always a big fan of shonen manga that has different characters with different super-abilities. Having not read any of the books, I enjoyed watching the movie. Did it bring anything new to the table in terms of plot or action sequences? No, not really. That being said, I tend to enjoy films that are more fluff than substance, and I enjoyed the fight scenes. A fun, quick read full of Steve Martin's humor and wit on Twitter. Great for fans of his comedy. Could you just follow him to read these? Yeah. But he does also include some of his favorite responses from real people.

A fun look at what words would be like without the letter "E" when she gets injured. "O" tries to help out by stepping in, but it doesn't quite work... May be better for an older crowd to get many of the jokes.

Arnold's character from "Parts" continues to worry as he thinks a little too literally about common phrases we use every day. "Give me a hand" and " scream your lungs out" take on a whole new meaning from the eyes of a child.

A cute, funny book about a kid who thinks he's falling apart when he finds hair in a comb and a loose tooth. While very tongue in cheek, it could be a good book to teach kids a little bit more about the basics of how their bodies work.

Good creepy stories for a younger audience. Some were more gruesome than I was expecting for a younger-readers' horror anthology, but I took that as a pleasant surprise. Good sequel to "The Hatching." A much quicker read than the first, so it feels a bit more like a means to the trilogy's end than a self-contained novel. That being said, we, the reader, get a few more questions answered. This was a good creature-horror story. Ran at a pretty fast-clip so it didn't take long to read, and the thrills were enough to keep me wanting to read more. I became really interested in the lore of the spiders and how they functioned and I hope that the second book goes deeper into it. The focus of the story was definitely on the uprising and horror of the spider invasion as the majority of the beginning chapters were all different people and different settings. It was a little difficult to feel for the characters, but you do end up rooting for some as the book progresses. Is this a completely unique plot? Not particularly. Is it still enjoyable? I would say "yes."This was a good creature-horror story. Ran at a pretty fast-clip so it didn't take long to read, and the thrills were enough to keep me wanting to read more. This book was a solid debut. I enjoyed the background behind how the magic worked and how there were tiers to the mages. The story seems self-contained, but I also wouldn't be surprised to hear of a second book coming out at some point. A few plot elements were a little too predictable, but the pacing was quick enough that you didn't dwell on it for long. The drama and emotions ramp up in this volume as we delve a little deeper into the relationship between father and son. Also, all five Kage appear together, which is pretty cool to see.
The only off thing for me is that the battle that is taking place against the new duo introduced in volume one seems a lot like a final battle near the end of an arc or even the series. Not sure if it is because they look a lot like Kaguya, from the end of Shippuden. Right now, I'm curious as to where the story will continue from here. The drama and emotions ramp up in this volume as we delve a little deeper into the relationship between father and son. Deadpool by himself is funny already. Paired up with Spider-Man? Even better. The banter back-and-forth between these two is great to read. That aside, there is a good story with this volume that continues into volume 2. We see Deadpool try and become more than what people expect him to be, but old habits die hard, especially when everyone assumes the worst. This was a pretty interesting take on the thriller genre. The main character, Quincy, is one of three "Final Girls" a trope used in horror films to describe the sole survivor of a bloody massacre. In this case, Quincy's was at a cabin in the woods. While many thrillers are about the events leading up to a violent, traumatic event, this story is more about dealing with what comes next. When one of the other Final Girls dies and the second comes out of hiding, the story becomes a but more of the usual thriller recipe. However, the author does a great job of writing an engaging story that remains entertaining til the end. This was a pretty interesting take on the thriller genre. Fans of the original Naruto and Naruto Shippuden will enjoy this. Naruto has cemented himself as the 7th Hokage and his son Boruto is a part of a 3-person cell entering the new Chunin exams. It is more of the same, but seeing the story unfold in a very similar fashion to the beginning of Naruto Vol 1 is pretty neat. It is also fun to see which kid belongs to which set of parents. We also get to see the struggle Boruto has with his dad never being around due to his status and Naruto understanding this but not knowing what to do. It's a different dynamic for the series. I'm looking forward to see how everything progresses.
My biggest criticism for this volume is that there is a flashback sequence that you aren't ready for and don't realize it IS a flashback until a few pages in, when you think, "wait, where are we?" I had to go back and reread it. Admittedly, I'm easily confused, though.Fans of the original Naruto and Naruto Shippuden will enjoy this.
